Having damaged teeth is never ideal. They can be painful, cause other dental problems, and even lead to tooth loss eventually. It’s best to address the cause and concern as soon as possible with a quick, effective dental restoration. Thankfully, we offer same day dental restorations because we decided to set ourselves apart from the rest. Here at Smiles in Springfield, you can be confident that your dentist will help you restore the stability and aesthetics of your smile with the investments we’ve made in our office: modern CEREC technology.
CEREC is an acronym that stands for “Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics.” That’s quite a mouthful, but the technology actually employs a pretty simple concept. We have an in-house ceramic milling unit in our office, which uses the data we send to it to create your new crown or bridge right away.
Here at Smiles in Springfield, we understand why dental restorations should be quick and convenient to receive. Many practices have used crowns and bridges for years and years to help restore the health of damaged teeth—but using outdated technology can prolong a patient’s recovery, causing discomfort and frustration. Although these dental restorations are tried and true, we take pride in our innovative approach to restoring teeth with same day dental restorations.
Here are just some of the perks you can expect to enjoy when you choose to come to us for a CEREC crown or bridge:
If you need a new crown, the first thing we’ll have to do is prepare your tooth (or teeth). We might have to file it a bit or fill it in so it is both strong enough and the right shape to support your crown. Then, we’ll use an advanced camera to take a digital impression of your teeth — there won’t be any messy goop for you to deal with.
The data from the digital impression goes to our CEREC unit, which creates your beautiful, custom crown or bridge. The dentist will then make any necessary final adjustments to it before it gets installed in your mouth. After that, you’re free to go off and show the world your restored smile!
Why wait weeks for a crown if you don’t have to? If you’d like to learn more about CEREC, please contact us so we can further acquaint you with the marvels of this wonderful technology.
In most cases, your dentist will be crafting a personalized dental crown. Crowns work to solve several tooth issues, including:
To decide which dental restoration is best for you, the best thing that you can do is visit our office for a consultation with Dr. Tran or Dr. Grimmer. Our friendly office team would be more than happy to schedule an appointment right away—you might just receive your restoration the same day!
